Elegant pair of lamps from the Art Deco period or transitional to modernism, featuring a sober, refined architecture blending marble, bronze and cut crystal.

Each lamp rests on a 9 cm by 9 cm veined marble square base, carried by delicate soft bronze spinning tops. The whole supports a vertical composition in threaded cut crystal elements, offering beautiful plays of light and a particularly elegant presence.

The Mazda-style white opaline shades diffuse a soft, warm light, very pleasant once the lamps are switched on. The overall silhouette evokes certain models in the taste of Jacques Adnet's work, while here presenting a more detailed and sophisticated design than the more streamlined productions generally associated with this designer. The set probably comes from another fine workshop influenced by this French modernist aesthetic.

The major interest of this set lies in the presence of a strictly identical pair, an item that has become relatively difficult to find today. These lamps make it possible to compose a harmonious decor in an Art Deco interior as well as in a contemporary or modernist ambience.
