Pair Of Amber Bohemian Crystal Vases On White Opaline Ground - 19th Century
Elegant pair of cut Bohemian crystal vases, dating from the 19th century, featuring superb amber crystal work on white opaline slip.
The set is distinguished by a particularly refined, slender silhouette, as well as a decoration typical of early Bohemian production: wide vertical cut reserves, engraved stylized floral friezes and alternating translucent and opaline zones creating a beautiful play of light.
The rich contrast between warm amber and white opaline gives this pair a remarkable luminous presence. The bases are adorned with a particularly elegant radiating star cut, testifying to fine craftsmanship. The interior of the necks also reveals delicate engraved and cut decoration, visible depending on the light.
Both vases are in perfect condition, with no chips or cracks. A decorative pair of fine quality.
