Kabuto - Edo Period
Japanese kabuto in black-lacquered iron, adorned with a prominent maedate with a strong heraldic and symbolic charge. The structure features a hemispherical cap with a smooth surface, covered in a dark, glossy patina, surmounted at the front by a large open crescent-shaped emblem (mikazuki), made in black lacquered iron with partially gilded ends.
Late Edo period (1603-1868).
