19th-century Paris Porcelain Punch Bowl
A large gilt Paris porcelain punchbowl, late 19th century, with a painted floral bouquet against a white ground in the interior, bordered by an extensive gilt border, the exterior with similarly decorated reserves, with overglaze painted 'JP.' mark in blue to the underside, possibly Jacob Petit.
Measurements:
Diameter: 30 cm (11.8 in)
Height: 13 cm (5.1 in)
Condition: Excellent. No damage. Rings like a bell when tapped with a knuckle. Light wear. A few faint marks. No restoration found under examination with ultraviolet light.
