Three-pronged guard. Main branch with control marks and serial number 633. Short-tailed cap. Plate forming a quillon. Handle sheathed in black leather and watermarked with twisted brass wires.
Curved blade with one hollow side and gutter. Heel stamped. Back of blade marked "Mre d'Armes de Chât- Mai 1875=Cavrie Lre Mle 1822".
Polished steel scabbard with one ring of bélière, bearing the same serial number as the guard.
This saber is in very good used condition.
