Large Religious Statue In Terracotta

Large religious statue in bleached terra cotta, depicting a young woman recollected at the foot of the cross.

The work, of Christian inspiration, most likely evokes Marie-Madeleine at prayer, in an attitude of recollection and sorrow.

She is depicted draped in the antique style, leaning against a rustic cross, accompanied by a bouquet of symbolic roses resting on a rocky base.
