Polychrome Ceramic Jug With Floral Decoration, Glazed In Multiple Colors

The main side of the bulbous body is adorned with a large, hand-painted, stylized floral design, consisting of a central flower in shades of blue, yellow, and white, surrounded by lush green, red, and brown foliage outlined in black.

The design stands out against a cream-colored glazed background enlivened by numerous blue, green, and orange speckles, which give the piece a particularly decorative character and a striking presence.

The form, with its upper handle and various spouts, draws on the tradition of popular Mediterranean jugs and pitchers. An original decorative piece, equally interesting as part of a ceramics collection or displayed on its own.

The base, left partially unglazed, reveals the clay and traces of the manufacturing process.
