Glazed Terracotta Bowl. Persia Or Medieval Central Asia.
Artist: Nishapur
Bowl in pinkish-ochre terracotta covered with a cream glaze. A brown iron oxide decoration seems to me to represent stylized Islamic characters. However, a collector has stuck a label on which is written "Neshabur" (for Nishapur?) and "Oiseau" (bird). Indeed, one could imagine 3 birds standing on 3 legs. Broken and glued back together. Diameter: 19cm. Probably 10°-12° Central Asia or Persia.
