François MIELVAQUE, French painter born in 1934. He studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Toulouse. From 1955, he worked in the studio of the cardboard painter Jean Lurçat. François MIELVAQUE never ceased to paint surrealist works in a movement known as "poetic reality". His style is imbued with great sensitivity. Characters, nature and objects have a strong presence in his compositions, leading to reflection and the perception of an accomplished universe.
