#Urban art is based on symmetrical geometries that give rise to infinitely repeating forms.
They generally take the form of medallions whose center evokes "Al Kaaba" (the Prophet's tomb).
The lines on a carpet, for example, suggest the ebb and flow of Muslims engaging in orderly, rhythmic processions invoking God.
Floral motifs, leaves, plants remind Muslims of the life promised in paradise after death.
These various decorative elements emerge from Islamic art and beautifully enliven the surface of Moroccan carpets.
This carpet art was and is mainly practiced by Berber craftsmen.
