This magnificent colorful carpet, alive in wool on wool, is from the first part of the 20th century, around 1900-1920.
It measures 117 cm wide by 217 cm long.
At first glance, we might think of a Caucasian carpet with its four large stars and its dazzling colors, but no, this carpet is indeed an Anatolian of superb quality, with rare graphics for the type close to the Sivas.
The changes in wool and the colors show us the beautiful village side of this carpet tied by women for trade or their personal use.
These rural rugs, knotted by village women, are always full of fantasy and liveliness.
The carefully spun wool is of very good quality, soft and fine, the patterns have been there since the dawn of time.
For this model we clearly feel the Caucasian influence, star medallions, field, and borders, but transmitted with naivety.
This rug has been professionally and eco-friendly cleaned.
