Stunning saber, probably for parade.
May be a theatrical saber, however the quality of the copper engraving and overall workmanship seems to me far too applied for a theatrical prop.
Silvered copper handle and scabbard engraved with floral decoration. Curved, single-edged silver-plated copper blade.
With wear and age the silver has faded considerably.
