Long Dha-style Saber—southeast Asia, Probably Burma, Late 19th–early 20th Century
Slightly curved blade with a single edge.
Scabbard and hilt with a wooden core covered in chiseled and repoussé silver leaf and copper filigree.
The unadorned silver section at the top of the scabbard is indeed original. It was not decorated like the rest because it was not meant to be visible; it was covered by the traditional braided cord .
The silver elements at the end of the hilt and at the end of the scabbard are missing.
