A Rare Pair Of Palace-style Candlesticks. Tuscany, Mid-17th Century.
Artist: à Etudier
A pair of large, painted wooden palace candelabra featuring sculpted depictions of triumphant cherubs holding a garland—six on each candelabra—each resting on a tripod base.
Furnishings of this kind, with such striking visual impact, were placed in the reception halls of the most noble palaces, and in this case, we believe they were crafted in Tuscany during the 17th century.
The dimensions are 158 cm x 86 cm x 86 cm; to these measurements must be added the upper metal fittings, which are approximately 20 cm.
A certificate of authenticity is included with the sale.
