Monastic Art: 18th Century, Ecce Homo, Painted On Parchment, Rich Dorloterie

Beautiful work of monastery, canvas and sewn paper on a red background, using gold and silver lace and cut-outs, glass and metal beading. .
On centre of this pageantry, framed in an oval, a touching gouache on parchment, the seated, half-naked Chrit, clad in a purple robe, loin cloth and crown of thorns, with a reed sceptre in hands and bearing the marks of torture, bleeding under the taunts of his torturers.

Probably the work of aConvent southern Germany, one of their specialties during 18th century.
Good condition, for what I have here, I didn't get any frame or glass, which seem to have been smashed....
