A beautiful tobacco jar, polychrome terracotta, a figure of Bernhardt Bloch, late nineteenth, without signature, made in Teplice for an Austrian Gallery, featuring the poet taking notes sitting on a tree trunk, An object in good condition !
The piece opens in two parts, trunk and boots, and full bust.
The terracotta is hand painted in cold colors with encaustic rather shiny. The piece is numbered below.
Condition: I looked good: no visible flaw, no glue or restoration, but of course a little wear and minimal chips on surface .... Dimensions: 26cm x 17cm x 14cm.
