Louis XVI Period Porcelain Teapot Attributed To The Manufacture Du Duc d'Angoulême, Ca 1780
Artist: Manufacture Du Duc D'angoulême (attribuée à)
A globular teapot in Paris porcelain, decorated with a very fine polychrome floral design enhanced by wolf's teeth in fine gold. Produced in Paris in the 1780's.
Many Parisian factories active under the ancien régime produced this type of floral decoration on a white background. The very high quality of the painted decoration, with flowers depicted "alive" with a sensibility close to easel painting, leads us to believe that the Manufacture d'Angoulême is a very likely attribution.
Beautiful collector's item in excellent condition, no accidents, brilliant colors and gilding.
Total height 14.5cm
Diameter : approx. 10cm
