18th-century Chinese Porcelain Tea Caddy With The Coat Of Arms Of The East India Company
Chinese porcelain tea caddy for export, allegedly from the East India Company, Qianlong period, 18th century. Commissioned piece, model with a coat of arms surrounded by garlands of flowers in famille rose colors. Rare scalloped shape. Good condition, missing the lid as is often the case; small chip at the base on the back, possibly original. From an old collection in Southwest France. All questions welcome.
