XVIIIe. The Hunter's Halt
Charming miniature on paper depicting a country scene, a hunter resting in a farmhouse offering the young maid her drink, presaging other pleasures in the hay ( the ladder is the access to the hayloft ).
In the spirit of Louis XIV, this small drawing was framed in a Louis XVI keyed baguette, and has not moved from it since.
Old chiclet holes on the frame, but the whole is in very good original condition.
