Bookcase By Pierre Guariche For Negroni, La Plagne, 1960s
Artist: Pierre Guariche
Bookcase designed by Pierre Guariche for the La Plagne resort, published by Negroni in the 1960s.Made of pine, it features an open structure organized by shelves of varying heights and two integrated storage modules. Drawers in wood and coloured laminate introduce a subtle graphic variation, while maintaining the coherence of the whole. The vertical composition, balanced and rhythmic, bears witness to a precise functional approach.Pierre Guariche's furniture is part of the equipment programs for Alpine resorts, where he is developing a modernist language adapted to collective use, combining rationality and the warmth of the material. It was presented at the Salon des arts ménagers in 1969.
Published by Negroni, circa 1968.
