Large Modernist Minimalist Wall Coat Rack
Wall-mounted coat rack in glass (top shelf), acrylic (hangers), and solid brass, circa 1960. With its radical design and extreme minimalism, this model evokes certain creations by Max Ingrand for Fontana Arte. However, it is most likely a Vereinigte Werkstätten München production.
The precision of the machining, the choice of materials, and the quality of the assembly reflect a clear desire to move away from mass industrial production in favor of fully embraced and visible functionality.
