Slingshot, Guatemala 01
Slingshot with a spider monkey clinging to the handle. The motifs on Guatemalan slingshots refer to ancient symbolism dating back to pre-Columbian times. For the Maya, spider monkeys were the result of the transformation of wooden men and fallen brothers.
