Silver teapot / coffee pot resting on four scrolled feet with foliate attachments.
Flattened spherical body forming almost a torus with a straight front belly, embellished with an oval virgin medallion surrounded by laurel and rose branches, topped with a Marie-Antoinette bow and flowery garlands at the high chimney neck.
Greek-arched geometric handle richly decorated with foliage and fillets, with a lower clamp adorned with a satyr's head. The applique spout, outlined with fillets, features guilloche ornamentation enriched with acanthus, laurel and ivy leaves.
The domed lid, adorned with a corolla of acanthus leaves, ends in a knob.
France, late XIXᵉ century.
Work in the Louis XVI style.
