Silver wine cup, featuring a central umbilicus on the bottom and decorated with cupules and twisted gadroons on the body. The handle is finely worked in the shape of a snake. Marked "L. Courtois". French work, circa 1809-1819, bearing the Coq hallmark for Paris.

Silver 950/1000.
Master goldsmith: Berger Louis Jacques, a specialist in timbales and cups, active in Paris.
