The painting depicts a seated female nude rendered in a warm palette of ochre and pink flesh tones. The model, dark-haired and wearing a pearl necklace, is shown in a composed pose with her gaze lowered. The background is dominated by a deep crimson drapery, which creates a chromatic contrast with the white linen beneath the figure.
