Fertility doll called Akwaaba among the Ashanti of Ghana. Statue stylistically taking up the biological symbol of the woman, which was carved to promote a woman's fertility and accompany her motherhood, Akwaaba meaning "Welcome". The statue has a beautiful patina of use. There is a necklace pearls around the neck. 
The object is authentic and has no restoration. The object dates back to the middle of the 20th century.
