Watch Jaeger Lecoultre Mémovox Speedbeat E875 Automatic 70's Steel On Leather (ring)
Men's size JAEGER LE COULTRE Mémovox striking steel watch with dato.
This very special model from the 1970s was named "SPEEDBEAT", due to the genuine mechanical evolution it represents. Its caliber, in fact, offers several specific innovations:
a high frequency of 28,800 vibrations/hour versus the 18,000 on previous generations
a 360° bidirectional rotor enabling more efficient automatic winding
This watch therefore offers better precision and stability of running, and was created with a view to excellence in reaction to the emergence of quartz in the 70s. It thus stands at the hinge of two eras, and corresponds to the era of fast movements, in phase with the race for precision of the late 60's.
Like previous generations, this watch offers the alarm/alarm complication, by means of two superimposed plates, and two different crowns for separate setting of the watch time and the alarm time. The crown at 2 o'clock sets the alarm, indicated by the central rotating plate. This is a self-winding Calibre 916 watch. Its crystal is made of plexiglass, in keeping with the times.
Aesthetically, this watch is distinguished from its predecessors by a JL logo located on the dial at 9 o'clock. But what's most remarkable is the sublime color of its dial, with its varied nuances: basicly "marron glacé", it offers shades of gray in natural light and mordorée in artificial light, this effect being rendered by the dial's metallic paint.
A rare piece from every point of view!
The watch is duly signed and numbered, and its correct functioning is guaranteed by us for one year (except in the event of shock or immersion).
