Certified Zambian Emerald And Diamond Ring On Yellow Gold

Solitaire-style ring in 750/°° yellow gold (18 KT, owl hallmark), adorned in its center with a large 6.47-carat emerald from Zambia, in the heart of Africa, an area richly endowed with high-quality stones.

As a result, this emerald offers a beautiful, intense green, rich, deep and velvety color (difficult to render on photos, which would deserve to be appreciated in person within our boutique! The real color is more "bluish" than in the photos). This beautiful color is accompanied by great vivacity, and beautifully enhanced by the yellow gold...The emerald material is homogeneous, and shows on the photos by transparency a characteristic garden imperceptible to the wearer...Zambian emeralds today offer a highly sought-after alternative for the depth of their color and their superior purity.

To attest to this, this stone comes with its certificate from the French laboratory, Carat Gem Lab. As the stone's "identity card", it lists its weights, dimensions...but also, most interestingly:

• its attested origin

• its character as a natural stone

• the study of its possible treatments, here with oil, which has always been used and accepted

• especially since impregnation is said to be "minor", and therefore virtually non-existent according to this terminology

The elongated oval shape of the stone contributes to its uniqueness. It is exploited and enhanced by the addition of two scrolls, set with baguette-cut diamonds, a cut used in haute joaillerie. Brilliant-cut diamonds punctuate the edge.

The ring body, with gadroons, follows the aesthetics of the rollers and lends the ring a character that is at once plush, feminine and refined.

This is a strong, present ring, through the quality of its emerald and its beautiful volume, while remaining extremely sober in its construction as a solitaire diamond-shouldered ring...
