Emerald-cut Tanzanites And Diamonds On White Gold Earrings

Superb pair of dangling earrings in 750/°° white gold (18 KT, eagle head hallmarks), adorned with natural tanzanites and brilliant-cut diamonds.

Each earring is composed of a diamond-set creole for pierced ears, extended by a round tanzanite in a closed setting and then by a large rectangular tanzanite with cut sides, surrounded by a delicate diamond pavement.

The tanzanites reveal a magnificent intense blue-violet color, characteristic of the finest qualities of this rare stone, while the diamonds add sparkle and refinement to the whole.

The quality of workmanship, the beautiful wearability and the particularly harmonious combination of stones lend this pair a timeless elegance.

Tanzanite, Tanzania's exclusive treasure

Discovered in 1967 at the foot of Kilimanjaro, in the Merelani region of Tanzania, tanzanite constitutes one of the most important gemological discoveries of the XXᵉ century.

An exceptional feature: this stone is commercially mined in only one place in the world, in an extremely limited mining area of just a few square kilometers. Its geographical rarity is such that some specialists consider that exploitable reserves could be exhausted within the next few generations.

The stone owes its name to the American jewelry house Tiffany which helped launch it internationally in the late 1960s.

Belonging to the zoïsite family, tanzanite is particularly prized for its remarkable pleochroism: depending on the orientation of the light, it reveals different shades of deep blue, violet and sometimes crimson reflections.

Its singular brilliance, unique provenance and increasing rarity have made it one of the most sought-after gemstones among contemporary jewelry lovers today.

Particularly elegant dimensions when worn, perfect balance between presence and refinement.
