"Dangle Earrings With Garland And Knot Motifs, Sapphires And Diamonds On Yellow Gold And Silver"
Early 20th-century Belle Époque style drop earrings, with a base of 585/°° yellow gold (14 KT, scallop shell hallmark) and an upper section of 925/°° silver (swan hallmark). Their openwork garland design is composed of three parts: a daisy-shaped stud on the ear, mounted on a post for pierced ears with a push-back clasp; a characteristic and stylized knot, delicately openwork and set with rose-cut diamonds, surmounting an openwork teardrop in the center of which is a mobile pendant, simply composed of a cabochon sapphire. The sapphire/rose-cut diamond combination is repeated on each element. The sapphires offer a beautiful, deep, and luminous blue color. The cabochons contrast in size with the rest of the piece. All the elements are articulated, and the cabochon sapphire drops are mobile, so these earrings are in perpetual motion when worn, lending a beautiful vibrancy to these materials, which otherwise have a soft and delicate luster. Total gross weight: 11.30 g. Condition: Imperceptible micro-scratches on the gold and silver parts, natural inclusions and characteristic areas in the sapphires, natural inclusions in the diamonds not visible to the naked eye.
