Poiray Half-hoop Earrings With Cultured Pearls And Diamonds In Yellow Gold - Fiji

Artist: Poiray

Pair of Poiray earrings, likely from the Fidji collection, crafted in 750/°° yellow gold (18 KT, eagle-head hallmarks).

Each earring takes the form of a generously curved half-hoop, the center of which is adorned with a row of Japanese cultured pearls. Their slightly creamy white hue and beautiful orient lend the piece a soft, silky glow that is particularly flattering when worn.

The pearls are accentuated by two curved lines of yellow gold, each delicately set with brilliant-cut diamonds. This architecturally designed structure, alternating between the rounded forms of the pearls, the warmth of the polished gold, and the even sparkle of the diamonds, creates a precious three-dimensional effect while maintaining perfect harmony.

The enveloping design of these earrings, characteristic of jewelry from the 1980s and 1990s, offers a bold yet perfectly balanced presence. Their half-hoop design naturally hugs the earlobe, allowing the wearer to appreciate the pearls, diamonds, and polished lines of the gold all at once. Despite their rich ornamentation, they remain exceptionally elegant and easy to wear, whether during the day or in the evening.

This design closely mirrors the aesthetic of Poiray’s Fidji collection, known for combining cultured pearls with gold gadroons set with diamonds. Attribution to this model is therefore highly likely, subject to confirmation by the House’s archives.

Designed for pierced ears, they feature Alpa clasp systems, renowned for their excellent hold and reliability. They are signed Poiray, numbered, and bear master’s hallmarks.

A jewelry creation that is particularly representative of the Poiray aesthetic: feminine, structured, and luminous, in which the sensual roundness of the pearls complements the brilliance of the diamonds and the warmth of yellow gold.
