Hispano-moorish Lustre Plate, Late 16th, Early 17th Century, 40.5cm.
Artist: Manises Ou Paterna
This plate features a dense decoration of vegetal racemes, typical of the Castellana manufactures of Manises, and features Gothic-style lettering on the central pulpit. The ruby-colored metallic luster is brilliant and shows off its full beauty, as is the enamel on the plate, which is also very beautiful. The piece has been restored due to a small crack of about 5 cm on the lower edge, the crack extending to the central pulpit. The reverse is beautifully decorated with a spiral, typical of Valencian Renaissance ceramics.
Diameter: 40.5 cm.
