“chrysanthemums In An Urn” By Amandus Faure (1874-1931)

A large bouquet of chrysanthemums and marigolds in an urn was executed by the renowned German painter and engraver Amandus Faure (1874–1931). He studied at the Stuttgart Academy and undertook study trips to Italy, Spain, France, the Netherlands, and Morocco. The artist was known for his interior scenes, floral still lifes, and genre scenes of artists' lives. His paintings are on permanent display at the National Gallery and the Royal Theater in Stuttgart. Faure was a frequent exhibitor at the Stuttgart Art Unit, Munich Sezession, Glaspalast, as well as in Dresden, Wiesbaden, Cologne, and Düsseldorf. He was a member of numerous German artists' units.

Condition: in good condition, unlined, some patches on the reverse, professionally cleaned and restored.
