Paris Universal Exposition of 1900. Visitors travel up the Seine on a riverboat to admire the pavilions of the various participating nations as well as the monuments of Paris. Watercolor and graphite drawing, signed lower right and dated 1900. Note the extreme precision of the line, the delicacy of the colors... In a patinated wood and stucco frame with its bubbled glass, both probably original. Dimensions: Image size 25 cm x 40 cm; Frame 48 cm x 62 cm. Escudier exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français from 1869 to 1888. Monuments depicted from left to right, as mentioned on the backing board: - The Pont de l'Alma - The Belgian Pavilion - The Bosnian Pavilion - The Eiffel Tower - The United States Pavilion - The Turkish Pavilion - The Italian Pavilion - Level of the Pont des Invalides.
