Very finely sculpted and incredibly detailed, this charming medallion painting made of cork reproduces a view of a castle in the Rhine Valley - such as Rheinstein Castle - and its surroundings with the Rhine that can be seen on the background on which evolves a charming sailing boat, on a background of watercolor sky. Its exceptional original double passe-partout in finely and richly embossed cardboard highlights it perfectly. End of the 19th century. Dimensions: Decor at sight 14 cm x 11.5 cm With the passe-partout 21.5 cm x 26.5 cm Framing 26.2 cm x 31.5 cm Very good condition. The framing strip has some scratches in places but not very visible.
