It is fitted with five round, gilt bronze buckles, two and three silvered, decorated with a helmeted Minerva head. Three of these buckles have trapezoidal loops at the rear for attaching the suspension straps. The two front buckles have a ring containing an S-shaped hook with a snake's head for fastening the belt. The leather is 4 cm wide. The hardware is silvered and gilt brass. The suspension straps are similarly finished to the belt, 2.7 cm wide, with rectangular gilt bronze buckles. There is wear and some leather restoration. France. First Empire.
