An elegant Louis XVI style half-moon console table, crafted from solid mahogany and high-quality mahogany veneer, resting on four tapered and fluted legs with brass finials. The frieze features a central drawer in the front, adorned with a bronze keyhole escutcheon and its original tassel. The fluted uprights harmoniously structure the piece in a refined neoclassical style. The top is surmounted by a veined white marble slab, bordered by a finely chased openwork brass gallery. A stretcher shelf at the bottom, also edged with a brass gallery, completes the piece with elegance and functionality. Signed “Gauffe,” this model attests to meticulous cabinetmaking and is likely a quality 20th-century piece in the 18th-century style.
