Louis XVI Period Console Table Stamped Gamichon In Paris

A beautiful console table in mahogany veneer, brass, and gilt bronze. The top and plinth are white veined marble. The gallery features openwork crossbars. It has a large drawer in the front, framed moldings, and scrapers. The columns are fluted brass, and the plinth is decorated with ebonized wood stringing. The feet are toupie-shaped, ringed, and have sabots. The oak frame was French polished in our workshop. Stamped by Jean-Baptiste Gamichon in Paris. Circa 1790.
