Small Covered Porcelain Pot From Paris, 18th Century – Nast Factory – Scattered Flowers – Collection
A charming little covered pot in Parisian porcelain, attributable to the Nast factory, late 18th century (circa 1780-1800). It features hand-painted decoration of polychrome bouquets of flowers, known as "scattered flowers," in a fresh and delicate palette. The rim is highlighted with a gilt scalloped border, characteristic of Parisian porcelain of this period. The lid has a button finial with gilt highlights. The underside bears a red "NAST" mark, corresponding to the renowned Parisian factory founded by Jean-Népomucène Hermann Nast, which was active from the 1780s. Typical of sugar or cream services from the late Ancien Régime.
