The circular top, veneered in rosewood and palisander carefully arranged in a fan shape, is adorned in its center with a remarkable floral decoration in finely inlaid polychrome porcelain marquetry. This sophisticated technique, developed in Paris in the mid-19th century, combines painting on porcelain and inlaying in wood, offering a result of great delicacy and exceptional finesse of execution.
