Pair Of Small Crystal And Sterling Silver Ewers – Silversmihs A Risler & Carré, Paris
Artist: Orfèvre A Risler & Carré, Paris
An elegant pair of small cut crystal ewers, beautifully transparent and with delicately molded sides, enhanced with a solid silver mount and lids. Each piece has a finely crafted, hinged, covered spout and a silver handle that harmoniously follows the shape of the crystal body. The richly decorated silver lids feature an engraved central motif surrounded by geometric patterns, stylized shells, and foliate elements, in a decorative style typical of the late 19th/early 20th century. The sculpted and ribbed knob accentuates the overall elegance. The mounts are hallmarked with the Minerva head, guaranteeing solid silver, and bear the hallmark of the silversmith A. Risler & Carré – Paris, a firm active in the production of high-quality silverware for the table. A very beautiful set, representative of the refinement of Parisian silversmithing, ideal for a display case, a collector's cabinet, or to complement an antique crystal and silver dinner service.
