Gilt bronze hilt, plain crossguard on each side. Pommel in the form of a plumed helmet. Wooden grip entirely filigreed with silver. Richly decorated guard with molding. Blade with a central fuller and flat back, bearing the signature of Solingen in gold, 81 cm long, engraved on a blued and gilt ground on one side with a cartouche reading "VIVE LE ROI" and on the other side with three fleurs-de-lis, removed during the Revolution. Very fine black patent leather scabbard with three engraved and gilt brass mounts. Length of the weapon 99.5 cm. The set is in very good condition. France.
