A round miniature (6.1 cm in diameter). It depicts an officer in full dress uniform, conforming to the 1797 regulations. The uniform is identical to that of the mounted corps. It is made of blue cloth with a scarlet collar and white facings piped in scarlet. It features a gold trefoil and aiguillette, and an epaulette with soft fringe. Presented under glass in a gilt bronze frame (8.3 cm in diameter). Very good condition. France. Consulate - First Empire.
