Elegant Art Nouveau vase in blown amethyst purple satin glass with applied gilt metal floral mounts.
The vase has a slender form with a flared neck resting on a bulbous foot.
The decorative gilt metal mount, composed of stylized scrolls and floral motifs, unfolds around the neck and base in a sinuous movement characteristic of the Art Nouveau aesthetic.
The satin purple tint of the glass, highly sought after around 1900, is typical of Bohemian glass productions intended for the European market.
Bohemian glassworks frequently supplied vases in colored glass which were then embellished with decorative mounts made by specialized workshops.
