Ovoid Table Lamp Attributed To Philippe Barbier, 1960s–70s

An elegant, egg-shaped table lamp, attributed to Philippe Barbier, dating from the 1960s–70s.

The sculptural base combines a dark brown glossy lacquered metal oval body with chrome-plated metal elements, resting on a rectangular lacquered metal base.

The design features the typical formal characteristics of Philippe Barbier’s lamps from this period.

Base dimensions: height approx. 28 cm to the socket; base 25 × 13 cm.
Total height with shade: approx. 45 cm.

The current lampshade is not original.

Good overall condition. The ovoid body is well-preserved. The base shows some marks and minor wear on the edges, visible in the photographs.
