Brass hilt, single-branch guard stamped with a rooster and the "JD" mark, Phrygian cap on a pike, and engraved. Long-tailed pommel, beechwood grip covered in black waxed calfskin, other markings "498" and "8". Curved fuller blade, 83 cm long, 3.5 cm wide at the ricasso. Tan leather sword knot. Back of the blade with KLINGENTHAL's signature. On the fuller of the blade, the stylized abbreviation "Fran-se" for Française (French), on the other side of the blade, "Rep-e" for République (Republic). Lictor's mark for accepting the blades. Beechwood scabbard covered in black varnished leather with two brass mounts, the inner edges of which are scalloped, with brass suspension loops and rings. Steel chape. Chape with cup opening. Weapon length 98 cm. Very good condition. Revolutionary version from 1792-1802. France. With certificate from my collection. Former expert with the Court of Appeal.
