Large and finely decorated salt cellar, mounted in vermeil.
The crystal or glass cellar is pear-shaped. The sides are fluted for a comfortable grip.
The mount covering the base and neck of the cellar is made of a guilloché and finely openwork vermeil lattice.
The wide cruciform stopper, held by a chain, is entirely made of vermeil.
I did not see a hallmark, but the silver has been tested.
Magnificent cellar, of generous size, with a richly decorated vermeil mount and a particularly ornate stopper.
