Moud rugs originate from the region of the city of the same name.
This city is located approximately 300 km from Mashhad in Iran, also known for its wonderful rugs.

Our model is a Moud Mahi.
It measures 235 cm wide x 380 cm long.
This piece is in very good condition.

Moud rugs are of high quality, and there are two main types:
## The "Moud Mahi," with Herati motifs and a beige star-shaped medallion, or in shades of light red, light blue, orange, or gray and blue like our model.
## and the "Moud Garden," decorated solely with Herati motifs and without a medallion.

Our model is made of the finest quality wool, on a cotton warp, for a density of approximately 450,000 knots per square meter. Soft shades of pale blue, very light pink, and mouse gray lend a beautiful expression to this magnificent Indo-Persian rug.
The use of silk enhances the sheen of the pile, and these rugs always contain silk in the blend.
This rug is in superb condition while possessing a magnificent and typical design.
The fringes are clean and in very good condition.
