A pair of Restoration period armchairs in natural wood, probably walnut or cherry, resting on rear sabre legs. The scrolled armrests and slightly curved back illustrate the neoclassical style of the early 19th century.
The seats are upholstered in a red patterned fabric. Sound and stable structure. French work, circa 1820–1830.
