Japanese Cloisonné Vase By Ogasawara Shuzo
This large and rare rectangular vase, decorated with cloisonné enamels on copper in the tsuikki shippo style with transparent enamel on a hammered (nanako) ground, features a magnificent and highly characteristic design of fish among wisteria and aquatic plants. It is in perfect condition. The neck and base are silvered, with an incised mark on the base: Ogasawara Shuzo of Nagoya. Origin: Japan. Period: Meiji (1868-1912) 1900-1910. Height: 25 cm.
